I work from Persian-language and public sources to understand Iran's economy, policy and political risk — and to help professional teams read a record most of them can't access directly.
My background is in journalism and economic analysis. Today my work centres on research and analysis of Iran: commissioned research for legal, investigations and risk teams, and independent public analysis through Taraz. I write and translate in Persian and English, and I'm based in London.
My approach is deliberately plain: separate fact from reported claim, identify where sources conflict, trace findings to source and grade those sources, state my assessment and my confidence in it, and specify what evidence would change the view. When the evidence moves, the conclusion moves with it.
NEXUM is my commercial research practice — Persian-language research and verification, commissioned by professional teams and delivered under agreed scope. Taraz is my public analytical publication on Iran's economy. I keep the two separate: I don't write in public about a subject I'm being paid to research privately, I run a conflict check on every commissioned subject, and I don't carry confidential material in either direction.
No visa sales. No property sales. No referral commissions. No legal, sanctions or investment advice, and no covert enquiry. What I sell is research and judgement, held to a standard — nothing else.
